It's 11:17pm and I ALMOST forgot to post today. Eesh. Ok, what to talk about. Let's see here... It was 70 degrees today on November 6th, in Buffalo. Crazy. It was warm. It felt like a time warp. I'm crocheting a toy can of sardines. I'll post a picture when i finish them, but I'm afraid it's not coming out to well. The can is kinda curved in. And the fish are too big for the can, but we'll see what happens. I also have plans to make some American Girls clothes very soon. I have crochet patterns for that and some official sewing patterns. I'll have to post pictures of that too. I have two secret projects that I HAVE to get moving on, like a month ago. I took my first art class recently, and I am signed up for a shorter 4 week art journaling class in December. Should be fun. I need to produce more. My perfectionism gets a hold of me and I just can't produce, bad or good crafty stuff. I should spend a month making nothing but BAD art. Maybe that would loosen me up. I also really want to read The Artist's Way. I heard it's good. Ok, so yesterday was Wednesday. So Wednesday will be Etsy Round Up day. Today is Thursday. Thursdays will be Arts and Crafts Thursday. I can talk about my current projects, things I can't wait to make, cool arts and crafts stuff online, anything. I like where this is going. I'm coming up with a plan. Here are my top 8 Etsy undiscovered stores of the day. None of these stores has had a sale yet, but you can still find the coolest things there. perryartstudio I love these bags. Look at the little pocket inside! The money goes to help Malawi, Africa too. Man, I really need to buy one. ZizzyfayWear Look at these Fairy dresses!!! Man, if I was just a little more bold and a little more thin, I would wear this everywhere. anlukaa I'm not even sure what this is, but I want it! Cute and shiny and green with beads and eyes. Rachelaakmama I think this is a very cool idea. You could put favors in the box, or gourmet chocolates for dessert. LuckLoveAndHedgehogs Just an awesome crocheted cuttlefish. That's all. ptitebaloue I'll stick with the stuffed animal theme, because this is one super cute penguin. canvaspics These little paintings are totally cool, original and very reasonably priced. I hope she makes more of them! Also, I hope there are little tiny felted eggs in that nest. rolandandbean These little guys are really trendy and cute. I can't believe there hasn't been a sale yet. I would love to do a round up of "I can't believe you are seriously trying to sell that on Etsy" next week, but I'm afraid it might be too mean. But jeez, there was one shop with nothing but pencil drawings of boobs. Oh well. That's part of the charm of Etsy, I suppose. |

There was a dog hair in my coffee today. The Bills just got a touchdown. I wonder, if I just keep making posts that are streams of consciousness, maybe I will eventually become a better blogger? Wouldn't you people like to see some pictures and links and things like that? Ok, this post is officially a poll. If you are actually reading this, please leave a comment and tell me what you would like to read about this month. I will be posting every single day, and YOU will be reading it. You have no choice. So, please give me some ideas. Maybe reviews of something? I could review the amount of dog hair in my living room. Or I could review Twitterers. You give me the Twitter name, I will follow them, and then tell you if it is worth it to follow them. No, actually, that's pretty dumb, you could just do that yourself. I could review DLC for Rock Band 2. I could review different kinds of Tassimo coffee and tea. I could review products for your dog. I think I just drank the dog hair. Black lab hair is like velcro. It is pointy and sticks to everything and can even stick in your skin. When it is not actually attached to a dog, it is not soft at all. |

| November First and Losing Posts | |

Last night, I wrote this wonderful, in depth post about the show Ghost Hunters, and shows like it. Well, maybe it wasn't wonderful, or in depth, but I wrote it. It was long. It had links. People would have liked it. Then my spectacular computer started shutting down all of my programs and rebooted for a Vista update. No warning. No shut down now or later. Nothing. They all just started disappearing. Along with my wonderful Ghost Hunters post for the first day of NaBloPoMo. Well, I've got a good paragraph now. I can't believe the computer's not freezing up or anything. So, for future reference, I will always be writing my posts in a word processor and saving them and then copy pasting them here. Except for this one because I'm in a hurry. But other than that, ALWAYS. If I keep losing posts it will frustrate me and I will give up NaBlo just like last year. So, I still have 3 minutes to write before I have to go to work. I can't think of anything really worthy of reading, but I will say this. If you work with people, think about the way others see you. Please, for you coworkers and all of the people around you, and for you actually, don't just constantly complain about everything. Take on jobs, complain about completing them. Have a new coworker? Complain about them before you even meet them. Work with people who are younger? Well then they must be lazy and stupid. Spot on the floor? No-one mopped, how dare they. You can see in just a few sentences how this will make a person go crazy in just under 20 minutes, let alone 8 hours. For the love of all that is holy in the workplace, PLEASE stop complaining. It will make everyone 78% happier. I guarantee it. I will stop complaining too, even minor little bitty complaints! I will even stop complaining about YOUR complaining, I promise. For the sanity of all of our coworkers. PS I will be holding a beginners Yoga and Meditation class every night I'm on duty, at 8pm, if anyone would like to attend. PPS No-one I work with even reads this. Darn it. PPPS Do you think they will Dooce me? |
